The “Back to the roots – Returning to know where we came from” program was officially launched, with a focus on telling stories about people, hometowns, memories, history, culture and values passed down through generations in Viet Nam.
On September 18, a delegation of experts, officials and representatives of organizations and businesses conducted a field survey of the Smart-Rice model in Bac Tien Hung, Hung Yen province. The model, which initially covered 67 hectares, has since expanded to more than 120 hectares, demonstrating the potential for applying alternate wetting and drying (AWD) on a larger scale. However, scaling up the approach will require more than water-management techniques, with irrigation infrastructure, production organization, and the ability to measure and verify emissions reductions also being key considerations.
On July 11, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine, in coordination with the Nam Tam Commune People's Committee, hosted a discussion titled "Developing medicinal herb areas under forest canopies in association with agricultural tourism" in Nam Tam commune, Lai Chau province. The event brought together government officials, scientists, businesses and local residents to discuss solutions for developing forest-based livelihoods, promoting a green economy and improving incomes in upland communities. The Consulate General of Viet Nam in Khon Kaen held a working session on June 23, 2026, with the Executive Committee of the Viet Nam Ao Dai Culture Association in Thailand to discuss plans for cultural and artistic activities marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Thailand, while further promoting the role of the ao dai in showcasing Vietnamese culture and strengthening ties within the Vietnamese community in Thailand.
On June 10, 2026, in Thai Nguyen Province, Agriculture and Environment Magazine, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Institute of Journalism, Communications and Interdisciplinary Sciences under the University of Sciences, Thai Nguyen University, organized a scientific seminar titled “Improving the quality of scientific journals toward Scopus indexing.” The event marked the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925–2026).

On April 12, in Luu Ve commune, Thanh Hoa province, Quang Xuong Center Investment JSC, in coordination with Danko Group, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Danko The Country urban area. The event marked the launch of a large-scale project expected to help reshape the eastern part of the province and support local socio-economic development.
During a field trip to central Viet Nam, a delegation from Agriculture and Environment Magazine conducted an on-site survey of Ruc Mon cave, one of the few karst caves in the Truong Son range that has retained its near-pristine condition. The visit provided hands-on experience and insight into the potential for eco-tourism development linked with conservation and sustainable livelihoods.

More than 1,400 hectares of tea produced under internationally certified organic standards, with about 90% of output exported to demanding markets such as Europe, the United States and Canada—these figures reflect not only an agricultural product but also a shift in development thinking toward organic agriculture. The roundtable, titled “Sustainable development and value enhancement of the Ban Lien organic tea region,” was organized by the Agriculture and Environment Magazine in coordination with the People’s Committee of Ban Lien Commune. It provided a forum for policymakers, businesses and farmers to discuss how tea can move beyond its traditional role in poverty reduction to become a driver of a sustainable green economy.

The event was held in response to the Government’s “For a green Viet Nam” initiative and aimed to promote a message of living in harmony with nature, contributing to the development of green, clean and well-maintained religious spaces, and raising public awareness of environmental protection.
On February 28, 2026, in Ban Lien commune, Lao Cai province, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Ban Lien commune, organized the 2026 Lunar New Year tree-planting festival themed “Haha family – For a happy Viet Nam,” under the message “Growing green – Nurturing happiness”.
