Authorities in Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province, on February 22 launched the 2026 Lunar New Year tree-planting festival in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.

On February 2, 2026, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with partner organizations and businesses, held the “Warm spring for students” program at Van Thang Lower Secondary School in Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province, where gifts were presented to students ahead of the Lunar New Year.

As part of a series of working activities at the beginning of 2026, on January 2, Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, visited the Dragon Tea Suoi Giang factory operated by HYH Group, and took part in an early-year tea tree planting activity in Suoi Giang, Lao Cai province.

On January 1, 2026, a working delegation of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, led by Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, paid a visit to the Dragon Tea Suoi Giang model in Lao Cai Province.

On the evening of January 1, 2026, Dragon Tea Suoi Giang, located in Van Chan conmmune, Lao Cai province, hosted a cultural and artistic program entitled “Welcoming spring 2026 – The sacred dragon gathering in unity.” The event brought together central and local leaders, cultural figures, local residents, and visitors to celebrate the New Year in the distinctive cultural space of Viet Nam’s Northwest region.

On December 23, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine held a ceremony to announce the Decision on the establishment and to officially launch the Editorial Board of the Agriculture and Environment Journal—the peer-reviewed scientific publication within its system. The event was chaired by Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment.

On December 12, Agriculture and Environment Magazine held a working session with Ho Thau commune, Tuyen Quang province, to discuss communication efforts for OCOP products, the development of agricultural tourism, and the building and promotion of the Ho Thau Shan Tuyet tea brand. The commune is home to nearly 1,600 hectares of ancient tea trees, located at elevations exceeding 1,700 meters above sea level.

In the context of rapidly increasing municipal solid waste (MSW) generation in urban areas, digital transformation is opening significant opportunities to improve the efficiency of waste collection, transportation, treatment, and recycling. The study conducted by Phan Thi Hai Luyen and Pham Quang Dung (Vietnam National University of Agriculture) provides a comprehensive overview of digital technologies—including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and smart management models—together with a SWOT analysis assessing the feasibility of applying such technologies in Vietnam. Findings indicate that digital transformation can deliver substantial improvements, although challenges remain in terms of infrastructure, investment costs, and public awareness.

On November 5, 2025, at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, HYH Group and the Institute of Space and Underwater Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a promising beginning toward comprehensive cooperation to achieve shared strategic goals.

On October 22, in Phu Tho province, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) in coordination with the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee and Toyota Motor Vietnam held the launching ceremony of the program “For a Green Vietnam” 2025. The program aims to raise public awareness and encourage individuals and businesses to take proactive action in tree planting, environmental protection, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, thereby contributing to the development of green agriculture and the national efforts in climate change adaptation.

On October 11, the International Women Entrepreneurs Development Institute (IWEDI), in collaboration with the International Women Entrepreneurs Council (IWEC), organized the program “The entrepreneurial path - Courage and aspiration.” The program aims to foster the development of Vietnam’s women entrepreneurs and contribute to enhancing the image of talented, resilient Vietnamese women in the era of integration and growth.
