A former officer of the General Department of Security under the Ministry of Public Security, Colonel Dao Tien is widely known as a gifted artist–soldier. Beyond authoring dozens of books, including more than ten poetry and essay collections, he has also created hundreds of paintings on materials such as oil and dó paper, many of which have been auctioned to raise funds for charitable causes supporting disadvantaged communities.
His artistic expression extends further into music, where his sensitive and contemplative spirit finds its voice. Through tender, heartfelt melodies, composer Dao Tien conveys deep reflections on life and humanity. Since his debut composition “A Night in Moc Chau,” he has built an impressive musical legacy of over 100 songs—each a lyrical monologue infused with love for people, for his homeland, and with the aspirations and devotion of a multifaceted artist.
As a composer, he has held five major concerts in Son La, Thai Nguyen, and Hanoi. Notably, his 2022 concert “Aspirations for life” at the Hanoi Opera House, featuring works honoring the homeland, the nation, and the People’s Public Security forces, raised nearly 10 billion VND for the To Hieu Scholarship Fund.
The November 19 concert, “Aspirations for life in a new era,” served as a tribute from composer Dao Tien to the teachers who shaped him, teachers in school, as well as mentors who guided, inspired, and imparted invaluable lessons about life and humanity.
The concert was a symphony of love, pride, and aspiration, woven from the rich experiences of a security officer who has long carried both duty and creativity in his heart. It also offered the public a complete encounter with his musical world—diverse in texture, yet simple and heartfelt in lyricism.
“Aspirations for life in a new era” invited audiences into a vibrant musical space arranged into three movements:
Movement I – “Pride in Vietnam”
A collection of powerful, uplifting melodies that evoke patriotism and national pride.
Movement II – “Burning toward paradise”
A romantic and emotional musical landscape that stirs passion, zeal, and the dreams of youth.
Movement III – “Moving with the nation”
A spirited finale reflecting the dynamic rhythms of modern life and the spirit of integration in a rapidly developing Vietnam.
On December 12, Agriculture and Environment Magazine held a working session with Ho Thau commune, Tuyen Quang province, to discuss communication efforts for OCOP products, the development of agricultural tourism, and the building and promotion of the Ho Thau Shan Tuyet tea brand. On October 22, in Phu Tho province, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) in coordination with the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee and Toyota Motor Vietnam held the launching ceremony of the program “For a Green Vietnam” 2025. The program aims to raise public awareness and encourage individuals and businesses to take proactive action in tree planting, environmental protection, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, thereby contributing to the development of green agriculture and the national efforts in climate change adaptation.
