On March 1, 2026, at Linh Son Pagoda in Bac Ha commune, Lao Cai province, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine organized its 2026 “Green pagoda” program. The event was held in response to the Government’s “For a green Viet Nam” initiative and aimed to promote a message of living in harmony with nature, contributing to the development of green, clean and well-maintained religious spaces, and raising public awareness of environmental protection.
Dr. Dao Xuan Hung said the “Green pagoda” program was a community-based initiative combining spiritual and cultural values with environmental stewardship. Planting rare and native tree species in temple and pagoda grounds not only helps improve the landscape but also mobilizes community participation in protecting green spaces and local ecosystems.
During the program, the magazine presented 108 trees to Linh Son Pagoda, including 50 yellow tabebuia trees and 58 magnolia trees.
The “Green pagoda” program is an annual initiative organized by the Agriculture and Environment Magazine. Organizers said the successful implementation at Linh Son pagoda would provide a basis for expanding the model to other localities, contributing to green development goals linked to the preservation of cultural and spiritual values.
