As part of a series of working activities at the beginning of 2026, on January 2, Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, visited the Dragon Tea Suoi Giang factory operated by HYH Group, and took part in an early-year tea tree planting activity in Suoi Giang, Lao Cai province.

Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee Phan Huy Ngoc discussed the harvesting, processing, and preservation of Shan Tuyet tea during the visit. Dr. Nguyen Cong Han, founder of the Dragon Tea Suoi Giang brand, introduced applied technologies combining traditional methods with modern innovations, including the use of drones to transport tea buds while reducing labor and environmental impactDr. Nguyen Cong Han explained that Dragon Tea Suoi Giang products are made from centuries-old Shan Tuyet tea trees in Giang Cao Hamlet, Van Chan Commune, Lao Cai Province, located at over 1,300 meters above sea level. On 15-16 July 2025 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Viet Nam, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), convened the High-Level Inter-regional Knowledge Exchange on One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) Models. The event brought together agriculture ministers and senior officials from 17 African and Asian countries. As host and model-sharing country, Viet Nam presented its “One Commune One Product” (OCOP) program as a successful example of community-driven rural development, innovation, and product branding — inspiring interregional cooperation in agrifood systems transformation.
According to Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 on the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units, the new Lam Dong Province has been established by merging the entire administrative boundaries of the former Lam Dong, Dak Nong, and Binh Thuan provinces. Following this restructuring, Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai was elected Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council. This appointment marks a significant milestone in his political career and reflects the trust placed in him by the Party, State, and people—as a leader with integrity, competence, and strategic vision for the new development phase of the province. That trust is grounded in tangible achievements and a dynamic shift in governance, clearly demonstrated during his tenure as Chairman of the Lam Dong People’s Committee from August 2024 to June 30, 2025.
On July 3 in Hanoi, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine, led by Editor-in-Chief Dr. Dao Xuan Hung, paid an official visit to the Institute for Women Entrepreneurs Development International (IWEDI) for a working session aimed at formalizing a strategic partnership.
On June 7, 2025, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) launched a program in Hai Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province to build a charity house for a disadvantaged family and to donate water tanks to local fishermen who make their living from offshore fishing.
The 'Green pagoda' program, initiated by the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), was held on June 7 at Linh Son Dai Phuc pagoda, Van Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province. The event was part of a series of activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press and responding to Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2025, World Environment Day (June 5), and World Oceans Day (June 8).
