During the 16th Vietnam-Korea Environmental Ministers' Meeting, Vietnam's Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Dang Quoc Khanh, and South Korea's Minister of Environment, Han Wha-jin, reached an agreement to implement comprehensive cooperation between the two ministries in the environmental sector.

On July 1, the 16th Vietnam-Korea Environment Ministers' Meeting, presided over by Vietnamese Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Korean Minister of Environment Han Wha-jin, convened in Seoul, South Korea.

On June 27, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh received a delegation from the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) led by Mr. Noel Clehane, Vice Chairman of EU-ABC, and Mr. Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Vice Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam, along with representatives from several companies in the EU-ABC and EuroCham working groups. They discussed matters related to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment's (MONRE) areas of management.

On June 24, Minister Dang Quoc Khanh met with Mr. Jung Heon Chul, Vice Chairman of Abe Invest Group, along with a delegation visiting the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) to discuss wastewater treatment and the application of science and technology in environmental protection.

On June 20, the first online meeting of the Vietnam - South Korea Joint Working Group on Climate Change Cooperation was held. The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Envitonment of Vietnam Le Cong Thanh and Ms. Hyoeun Jenny Kim, Ambassador and Deputy Minister for Climate Change in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

On May 29, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) Le Cong Thanh hosted a meeting with Mr. Ulazdimir Baravikou, the Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam. Both sides agreed to strengthen the exchange and sharing of advanced science and technology in waste treatment and recycling, with a particular focus on future municipal solid waste management.

On May 24, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh held a meeting with EREX Group Chairman Honna Hitoshi and the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki. The discussions focused on cooperation in developing biomass energy and the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In observance of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2024, celebrated on May 22nd, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) has issued a directive to ministries, sectors, and localities, outlining strategies to commemorate this event.

During the meeting with Senator Jenny McAllister, Australia's Assistant Minister for Climate Change and Energy, in Hanoi on April 17th, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Le Cong Thanh, expressed the hope for enhanced cooperation between Australia and Vietnam on climate, energy, and the environment under the newly signed Comprehensive Partnership.

On April 5th, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Cong Thanh hosted a meeting with Ms. Aler Grubbs, Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam, to discuss the expansion of cooperation in environmental protection

On March 29th, the Medal "For the cause of natural resources and environment" was presented by Minister Dang Quoc Khanh to Country Director for Vietnam at the World Bank (WB) Carolyn Turk, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Vietnam's environmental and natural resource sector.

On March 29th, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the 13th Party Central Committee, received Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam Shovgi Kamal Oglu Mehdizade. During the meeting, they shared experiences and discussed upcoming cooperation programs in natural resources and environmental sectors between Vietnam and Azerbaijan.

During the meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), international environmental experts believed that there is a need to enhance education coupled with scientific research to provide suitable solutions tailored to the specific conditions in Vietnam.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister Mark Harbers expressed optimism about the potential for Vietnam and the Netherlands to collaborate "wholeheartedly" to find nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and environmental issues.

On March 15th, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) Le Cong Thanh received EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier, European Commission Director for the Middle East, Asia and Pacific in the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) Peteris Ustubs, along with the delegation from the European Union (EU).

During the meeting with Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) Le Cong Thanh on March 14th, Canada's Ambassador for Climate Change Catherine Steward expressed Canada’s hope to expand cooperation with Vietnam in responding to climate change.

Leading the “International workshop on sharing experience on mining regulatory development”, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) Tran Quy Kien highly appreciated contributions and sharing experiences from delegates and international experts on key issues highlighted in the Draft Law on Geology and Minerals. He emphasized that this valuable information serves as a crucial reference for the MONRE to study, absorb, and contribute to the refinement of the Draft Law.
