Vietnam and Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding to continue implementing cooperation under article 6 of the paris agreement

TN&MTMinister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister of Manpower, who also serves as the Second Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore, Tan See Leng, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

 

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

On the morning of August 28, immediately after their talks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong witnessed the signing of seven new cooperative documents between ministries, departments, and agencies of the two countries. These agreements form the foundation for further deepening and strengthening the substantial and effective development of the bilateral relationship between the two nations in the coming period.

At this event, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister of Manpower cum Second Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore Tan See Leng signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

Minister Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister Tan See Leng signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding reaffirms the shared interests of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Singapore in bilateral cooperation under Article 6, paragraph 2 of the Paris Agreement to achieve climate change mitigation results. This contributes to enhancing global climate ambition in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement, ultimately promoting sustainable development.
